Ruston's work is concerned with collective beliefs and shared verbal and visual narratives in relation to the mass media. Referencing the notion of artificial manipulation and its normalisation, it attempts to confront the practice of modern myth-making by questioning concepts such as beauty, truth and love.

Dazed, Grafik and Art Review. He was born in Essex in 1975 and works from his studio in Norfolk.
